Germany is a fascinating country - here you will find elegant city charm, picturesque villages, art, culture, atmosphere and national festivals.

Even before the reunification Germany was a 'boundless treasure chest' of sights, but since the joining of the new lands, Germany has become a travel destination, which offers nature, culture, attractions and experiences for everyone.

In the north of the country the see and the countless lakes around Mecklenburg offers lovely nature experiences and good opportunities for water aquatic activities.

Towards south you can experience the Alps - the largest European mountain range, and the small villages with flower-decorated balconies, which are situated in the fertile valleys between vertiginously high peaks, among these Zugspitze (2964 m) - Germany's highest point.

The eastern part of the country is rich in culture treasures. Weimar in Thuringia, homr of Goethe in the years 1782-1832, developed during the 18th. century into Germany's most significant culture town, but this golden era was suddenly interrupted by the establishment of the neighbouring concentration camp Buchenwald.
