Calvinet is situated 30 km. south of the charming town of Aurillac and between the towns of Montsalvi (15 km) and Maurs (18 km). The most southern part of the Cantal, the "Châtaigneraie", also known as "the land of the chestnuts", borders with the Aveyron region.
