La Grande Maison is situated in the central village square of Sarlande, next to a Medieval church and opposite the local restaurant and Epicerie. From the house you have acces to the garden where you can enjoy eating outdoors or relaxing on the sun loungers. The house also has a unique facility: a games room specifically for playing table-top, miniatures based wargames. Sarlande itself is an active village with lots of charm and is located 9 km. from the town St. Yrieix-la-Perche, where you can find the shops. The village is near to many places of interest such as the impressive Chateaux at Hautefort and Jumillac. Also the tourist centre at Rouffiac Lake, which has water sports, swimming, restaurants and even paint-balling, is not far from Sarlande. The cottage would make an ideal base for a couple or family from which to explore the Dordogne countryside.
