Camaiore Camaiore, situated in a basin surrounded by hills at the foot of the Apuanian Alps, has an historic town centre within the old town walls which is home to many handicraft shops. Numerous festivals and markets are held here in summer where art craftsmen and dealers are represented from all over Italy. Well-known, historical, busy resort with 30'000 inhabitants, in the north-western part of the region 8 km from the sea, convenient, 25 km north-west from Lucca, 10 km north from Viareggio. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Access: motorway A12 Genova Livorno, exit number "Viareggio/ Camaiore". Railway station "Viareggio".
