This antique sixteenth-century habitation, built by Carlo Ludovico de Piccolomini, has been restored and transformed into an elegant little residence offering apartments and rooms. The property is nestled in the quiet of a centuries-old park. For guests' enjoyment: a swimming-pool, where there are also the remains of an etruscan tomb, tennis, Italian garden, television lounge with satellite television, public telephone, barbecue grill. Pay laundry service available. The apartments are all pleasantly furnished and enjoy a wonderful view of the surrounding valleys. Just over an hour's drive from Macciano (3 km) are Florence, Rome and Perugia. Macciangrosso is also close to many art centres: Chiusi (11 km) Chianciano Terme (6 km), Montepulciano and Pienza. Use of tennis court free of charge. Swimming pool opening times: 9:00-13:00 and 15:00-20:00. Only little pets admitted and only if well controlled by the owner.
