Situated in one of the most charming areas of the Mugello (700 slm), Castello La Rocca is reached via the old road that leads from Tuscany to Emilia Romagna. The castle has ancient origins. In its large park there are, beside the castle, the manor house Villa di Castello (I5293/821), the caretakers house and a chapel that can be used for weddings. The place is a wonderful setting for weddings and other special celebrations. Catering available on request. Periods between 01.01.06 to 01.04.06 and 30.10.06 to 31.03.07 are bookable for a minimum of 2 weeks. Heating and hot water are extra payable locally according to use. Check in must be before 19.30h. Firenzuola Market town situated in Val di Santerno half way between Florence (52 km) and Bologna (58 km). It is the 8th biggest town in Tuscany and borders with Barberino del Mugello, Borgo San Lorenzo, Palazzuolo sul Senio and Scarperia. Monterenzio, Castel del Rio, Monghidoro, Castiglione de Pepoli are also quite near but in the Emilian Romagna region. The highest point is Montoggioli which is 1.290 m high.
