Supermarket, shops, restaurant, bar, disco, cinema. Access: access via a good road. Railway station "Caldas de Malavella" 30 km. Calonge 6 km. Palafrugell 9 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Barcelona-Prat Llob. (BCN) 130 km, Girona-Costa Brava (GRO) 60 km. Combination of local character with a modern tourist centre. The town has a nice, cosmopolitan feel. Daily fish market, speciality restaurants. Also, pretty sandy bays: Cala Castell, S'Alguer, La Fosca. Fiestas: Carnaval. Fiesta Mayor the week of Sant Joan.
